The Early Childhood Resource Center, a Ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System is recruiting for a full-time Child Care Business Success Specialist.  The Child Care Business Success Specialist provides business consultation, workforce development support, and technical assistance to participating childcare providers. The position partners with owners and directors to strengthen business operations, recruit and retain staff, implement technology solutions, and connect programs with community resources that promote long-term sustainability and continuous improvement. 

Reports to:  Executive Director
Working conditions: Normal office environment, with some evening hours and travel required. 
Classification: Exempt

Primary Responsibilities
Business Support and Consultation
Provide consultation on budgeting, cash flow, financial planning, recordkeeping, and business sustainability.
Assist providers with business planning, operational improvement, and strategic decision-making.
Support childcare programs in utilizing childcare management and customer management software systems.
Provide guidance on marketing, enrollment growth, family engagement, and community outreach strategies.
Connect providers with resources related to taxes, accounting, legal services, financing, and business development. 

Workforce Recruitment and Staffing
Assist childcare programs with recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
​Create and manage job postings through platforms such as Indeed and other recruitment tools.
​Attend job fairs, career expos, and community events to recruit early childhood professionals.
Develop recruitment partnerships with colleges, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
Coordinate and manage a substitute staffing software platform, including provider support and substitute recruitment.

Employee Onboarding and Retention
Assist programs with onboarding plans and orientation processes for new staff.
Support workforce retention efforts through staff engagement, professional development, and workplace culture strategies.
Connect directors with workforce resources and training opportunities.

Leadership Development and Community Partnerships
Connect childcare directors and owners to leadership development programs, peer learning networks, and professional development opportunities.
Build relationships with economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, workforce agencies, and higher education institutions.
Connect providers to business resources, funding opportunities, technical assistance, and community supports that promote program growth and sustainability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in business consulting, workforce development, human resources, recruitment, childcare administration, small business development, or a related field.
  • Experience working with childcare programs, small businesses, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Experience providing coaching, consultation, training, or technical assistance preferred.
  • Knowledge of business operations, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Understanding of workforce recruitment, onboarding, and retention practices.
  • Experience with business software, databases, and customer management systems.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently.
Pay Range: $53,000-$58,000
