Position Summary
Stepping Stones Learning Center is seeking an experienced, professional, and dependable Child Care Center Director to lead daily operations, support teachers, maintain licensing compliance, and help grow enrollment. The Director must be organized, strong in communication, confident with staff leadership, and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
The Child Care Center Director will be responsible for:
Managing daily center operations and making sure classrooms run smoothly.
Supporting and supervising teachers, assistant teachers, and classroom staff.
Maintaining child care licensing compliance, staff files, child files, ratios, safety procedures, and required documentation.
Monitoring classrooms throughout the day to ensure quality care, safety, and appropriate supervision.
Helping with staff scheduling, call-offs, coverage, and ratio management.
Communicating professionally with parents regarding enrollment, concerns, schedules, behavior, and center updates.
Assisting with enrollment growth, tours, follow-ups, and parent communication.
Supporting curriculum implementation, lesson planning, classroom structure, and age-appropriate learning activities.
Handling staff accountability, coaching, training reminders, and professional expectations.
Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming, and licensing-ready center environment.
Reporting important issues to the owner immediately, including licensing concerns, parent complaints, staff issues, injuries, or safety matters.
