    Job Overview

    Opened in 2020, The Pillars Child Care Center is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This Intergenerational Child Care Center is embedded in The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior Living community and features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments.

    The Child Care Aide assists in the supervision and care of children and provides childcare program activities in order to ensure the highest quality of childcare available.

    This early education position includes:

    • 80 hours per two weeks
    • Day shift; 10 hour shift

    Responsibilities:

    • Assists in classroom as needed and directed by the lead teacher

    • Supervises health and safety needs of children

    • Assists in keeping classroom neat and orderly

    • Responsible for securing health, hygiene, safety, and overall well-being of children at all times

    • Provides a nurturing environment, which supports the individual development of each child

    • Assists in keeping records up to date, such as emergency forms, lesson plans, individual child development profiles, and other records as needed

    • Ability to follow all licensing requirements as directed by the center Director and Lead Teacher

    • Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff and families

    • Maintains all requirements of licensing for education and training

    • Ability to perform as duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School diploma
    • 1 year of experience
