Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • One year experience working in human services or with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required
  • The ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion.
  • Must be able to physically intervene in the event of extreme behavior

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate about issues which impact students and program operation to team and supervisor.
  • Assist in the preparation of IEPs, annual and semi-annual assessments.
  • Maintain logs and record behavioral progress.
  • Maintain clear visuals for monitoring cameras.
  • Provide informal counseling for students.
  • Maintain a clean environment for students.
  • Track clothing including seasonal rotation.
  • Constructively participate in team meetings and supervision.
  • Implement laundry schedules, chore charts, shower schedules.
  • Maintain confidential student information.
  • Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, as needed.
