We value educators who are passionate about early childhood development, enjoy working collaboratively with families and colleagues, and are committed to providing high-quality care and education.Position SummaryThe Lead Infant & Toddler Teacher is responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum, creating engaging learning experiences, maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom environment, and collaborating with assistant teachers to support children's growth and development.The ideal candidate meets California Title 22 Infant & Toddler Teacher requirements, possesses strong classroom management skills, and demonstrates a genuine passion for helping infants and toddlers reach important developmental milestones. This position reports directly to the Center Director or Assistant Director.ResponsibilitiesServe as an Early Childhood Educator by implementing the company-selected curriculum (Zoo-phonics training provided).Develop and implement engaging weekly lesson plans aligned with classroom themes and developmental goals.Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment for infants and toddlers.Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and inventory according to company standards and licensing requirements.Ensure compliance with all Community Care Licensing regulations and company policies.Communicate regularly with parents through the ProCare app regarding children's progress, daily activities, and developmental milestones.Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively.Coach, guide, and support assistant teachers through clear communication and leadership.Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including:Child DevelopmentChild, Family & CommunityInfant & ToddlerOne additional Child Development course (such as Program & Curriculum, Child Health & Safety, etc.)Must meet California Title 22 requirements for Infant & Toddler Teachers.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool Teacher, Infant/Toddler Teacher, or Early Childhood Educator.Ability to pass DSS background clearance.Current Mandated Reporter Certification.Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.Comfortable learning new technology and software applications.Adaptable and willing to work as part of a team-focused environment.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities with children.Availability to attend occasional staff meetings and work overtime when needed.Apply Today!If you're a qualified Infant & Toddler Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and looking for a rewarding opportunity in Chula Vista, we'd love to hear from you.
