Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Child Development Program; provides an educational program for pre-school children, consistent with the Child Development program's philosophy and goals. Develops and maintains an educational environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of resources provided by the Child Development Program.
Minimum Requirements: -Associate Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Child Development or related field - Possess the appropriate California Teaching Permit or one of the following Child Development Permits: Teacher, Master Teacher, Site Supervisor, or Director Permit. - First Aid and Pediatric CPR Certification and Health and Safety training certification for preschool children Desired: - Previous working experience with families in planning family goals and child educational goals desired. - Bilingual in Spanish; Cantonese; etc. desired - Experience with effective communication, working with teen parents in a multi-ethnic setting desired.
