    Description

    Primary Purpose:

    Provide day to day administrative and high-level operational support to the Child Nutrition

    Department. This role is designed to assist with daily functions while developing knowledge and

    skills in school nutrition operations, compliance, and program management. This position offers

    growth potential for individuals interested in advancing within Child Nutrition.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Experience in food service, or school nutrition preferred
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
    • Willingness to learn nutrition software systems

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with daily administrative operations of the Child Nutrition program
    • Support menu planning, production records, and documentation for compliance
    • Help maintain records related to USDA/TDA regulations and audits
    • Support campus kitchen operations as assigned, including meal preparation, service,
    • cleaning, and other food service duties as needed.
    • Coordinate communication between campuses, vendors, and department leadership
    • Assist with ordering, inventory tracking, and commodity management
    • Support catering requests, billing, and internal financial tracking
    • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence as needed
    • Provide support during audits, reviews, and program evaluations
