Primary Purpose:
Supervises, trains and manages campus food service operation. Ensures that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Follows federal, state, and local rules and regulations for operating the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Food Manager Certification
TASN and/or SNA Membership Preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation
Ability to manage personnel
Effective planning and organizational skills
Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience in managing a school food service operation

Mental Demands: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interprets policy, procedures and data; coordinates district functions; maintains emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Frequent district-wide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
