What you'll be doing day to day

At IKEA, we are a very family-friendly retailer, that's why we offer IKEA Småland, a place for kids to have fun while our customers shop on their own. As a Childcare Activity Area Associate, you will:

• Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children that visit our play facility.
• Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Participate in the planning and execution of children's activities both in and outside of Småland.
• Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
• Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policy and procedures.
• Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter role to provide additional coverage when needed.

JOB TYPE - Permanent, Part-time

BENEFITS ELIGIBLE: Yes

HOURS - 12-20 hours per week. Must have working availability on Mondays to Thursdays from 4:30PM to 10:30PM. Must have complete open working availability on Fridays & Saturdays from 9:00AM to 10:30PM.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.50.

Qualifications

'- Experience in childcare and/or retail customer service & cash handling preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification training provided.
• Physical demands requirements: Lifting and carrying items occasionally up to 50lbs.

The starting rate/ salary for this position is 19.5 USD
