    Position at Owl's Nest: Ten Mile Academy

    Do you enjoy working with young children and being part of a positive, supportive school community?  

     

    We’re looking for an Assistant Teachers to join our team atTen Mile Academy. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, caring, and excited to support young learners in a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment.  

     

    As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with Lead Teachers to help create meaningful learning experiences and support children as they grow and develop.

     Classroom We’re Hiring For

    • Toddler
    • Preschool
    • Pre-K

     Schedule

    Monday–Friday
    8:30 am – 5:30 pm

    3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
    No nights. No weekends.

     Compensation

    $14–$17 per hour, based on education and experience

     What You’ll Do

    • Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities
    • Help implement activities that support children’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
    • Create and maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
    • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
    • Take direction, accept feedback, and continuously grow in your role
    • Follow all licensing, safety, and center policies

     What We’re Looking For

    • High school diploma or GED (required)
    • Previous childcare or classroom experience is a plus
    • CDA or higher is a plus
    • Ability to pass all required background checks
    • Positive attitude, reliability, and a team‑first mindset
    • Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

     Our Hiring Process

    • Application and resume review
    • Phone conversation with a recruiter (about 30 minutes)
    • On‑site interview and classroom observation with the Center Director (about 30 minutes)
