Childcare Assistant Teacher

 
Stepping Stones Learning Center is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and be committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.


Key Responsibilities


• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development
• Help with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and daily routines
• Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, play, art, music, and outdoor time
• Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management
• Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
• Assist with classroom cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records
• Work cooperatively with other staff members as part of a team
