Childcare Assistant

Warwick Day Care Center is seeking a caring, reliable Part-Time Afternoon Assistant to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be part of a warm, supportive, community-centered environment.

Schedule:

Afternoons, Monday–Friday

Shift ends at closing time, 6:30 PM

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone dependable, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
• A team player who communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively
• Ability to follow center policies and support children’s safety at all times
• Experience in childcare is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person!

• Support classroom teachers with daily routines, play-based learning, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment
• Support end-of-day cleanup and preparing classrooms for the next day
• Build relationships with children, families, and staff
• Contribute to a calm, smooth closing routine for our center

• Must be dependable and comfortable working with young children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Prior childcare experience preferred but not required
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must clear full background check & health screening.
• Available to work Monday-Friday until 6:30 pm.

• Infant/child CPR & 1st Aid certification (will train)
• experience in a classroom/childcare setting
• OCFS training hours
• ECE credits

• Paid holidays & weather closures
• Paid sick days after probation period
