What you will do as the Childcare Center Cook

• Menu Preparation in compliance with USDA Food Program and WAC Minimum licensing requirements
• Food purchasing (procurement)
• Kitchen and Food Prep areas maintained and kept clean
• Ensure that meal carts are being properly utilized (i.e., temperatures taken and recorded, allergies noted)
• Set up of meal carts with necessary documentation and tools
• Lunch counts taken and recorded
• Menu changes noted on Master Menu
• Substitutions and awareness of allergy or special needs (to include inventory and supply on hand of special needs food)
• Sanitization, cleanliness, and organization all to be in compliance with WAC Minimum licensing requirements, USDA Food Program, and the policies of CVLearns

Requirements

YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience cooking for large groups of children
• Knowledgeable and proficient with USDA requirements and the CACFP
• Strong organizational and time management skills

YOU POSSESS THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Food Handlers Permit
• Portable Background Check Washington State (or willingness to get one)
• Proof of Negative TB test
• Proof of Immunization for MMR and COVID (per state rules)
