Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking a Children's Programs Supervisor for the 2026/27 winter season. The Children's Programs Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of Gunstock's children's programs, including Children's half- and full-day programs and our popular seasonal Dev Team program. This role is accountable for the overall guest experience for guests participating in Children's Programs and works closely with other Snowsports leadership to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery. This position reports directly to the Snowsports Manager.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staffing, Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule and manage instructor and support-staff assignments for half-day, full-day, and seasonal Children's Programs; work in coordination with Outreach and Adult Programs Supervisors to optimize the use of instructor resources and coverage.
  • Work in collaboration with the Adult Programs Supervisor, coordinators, and training staff to support consistent instruction and service standards.

Guest Experience & Program Operations

  • Maintain efficient lesson check-in and check-out at the Children's Programs area, ensuring smooth and timely parent interactions; deliver consistently excellent guest service through clear communication, friendly demeanor, and professional conduct.
  • Coordinate daily set-up and take-down tasks in meeting areas and children's learning zones, including teaching tools and animations.
  • Manage the in-house equipment rental program for Children's Programs.

Team Leadership & Administrative Oversight

  • Support and guide instructors in delivering high-quality lessons, guest service, and age-appropriate teaching; provide timely, constructive feedback to instructors on lesson quality and opportunities for improvement.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate execution of company initiatives with instructors and teams.
  • Maintain employee engagement through positive communication and interpersonal skills; build team connection and trust by providing effective coaching and day-to-day support to staff members.
  • Manage instructor productivity and review payroll for consistency and accuracy.

 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • PSIA/AASI Level II and PSIA/AASI Children's Specialist certification (or related certifications) preferred.
  • Five years of snowsports experience, preferably in supervisory role; working knowledge of industry-standard platforms such as Intouch and Flaik preferred.
  • Strong understanding of children's ski/snowboard skills progression and age-specific teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Lesson Cycle; ability to teach lessons and lead training clinics as needed.
