Schebler Chimney Systems is looking for a Product Development Engineer in Bettendorf, IA to design and develop new products from concept through production. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys the technical work of product design and also likes owning projects from start to finish.You'll play a key role in shaping new products, improving processes, and collaborating across teams to bring ideas to life.What You'll Be DoingIn this role, you'll:Design and develop new products from concept through productionCreate 3D models, part drawings, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and R&DBuild and test prototypes, and apply what you learn to design improvementsDefine project scope, timelines, and success criteriaManage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyCoordinate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and MarketingPartner with vendors and suppliers to support development timelinesIdentify risks early and develop solutions to keep projects on trackDrive continuous improvement in product development processesWhat Success Looks LikeDelivering projects on time and within budgetLaunching high-quality products that meet performance and safety standardsCreating efficient, repeatable development processesBuilding strong collaboration across teamsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree required (Mechanical Engineering preferred)5–7+ years of experience in product development, mechanical engineering, or technical project managementExperience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional teamsStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter who can manage multiple priorities effectivelyTechnical SkillsExperience with AutoCAD Mechanical, SolidWorks, or InventorStrong planning, scheduling, and project management skillsExcellent communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Why Schebler?At Schebler, you'll have a direct impact on the products we bring to market.
