Description

The chiropractor will provide care for patients with health problems of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. She/he will use spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients' health concerns, such as back and neck pain.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides consultations, exams, and treatment plans for chiropractic visits.
  • Educates patients on the benefits of regular chiropractic maintenance.
  • Assesses a patient's medical condition by reviewing their medical history, listening to the patient's concerns, and performing a physical examination.
  • Performs medical examinations with focus on the patient's posture and spinal condition.
  • Analyzes the patient's posture, spin, and reflexes.
  • Diagnoses any health problems by reviewing patient's medical history and information provided during observational questions and examination.
  • Performs spinal adjustments and other bodily adjustments with the purpose of correcting the musculoskeletal system.
  • Provides neuro-musculoskeletal therapy, which involves adjusting a patient's spinal column and other joints by hand.
  • Utilizes special chiropractic equipment for treatment purposes.
  • Modifies the joints of the spine via the use of special devices and bare hands.
  • Gives additional treatments, such as applying heat or cold to the patient's injured areas.
  • Performs medical testing as required.
  • Creates a treatment plan and management plan that is to be followed by the patient.
  • Informs patients on the appropriate exercises to help rehabilitate and achieve speedy recovery.
  • Refers patients to other health care professionals, if needed.
  • Charts Chiropractic visit notes into electronic software.
  • Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
