CHRISTMAS DRIVER
Seasonal Position- November- December (Required orientation day and first day of work beginning second week of November)
Schedule/Hours: Mon-Saturday availability (full-time and part-time options) 30-40 hours per week - variable scheduling
JOB SUMMARY:
Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with general clean-up work at the Corps, warehouse facility or assigned location as needed. Assists with routing of traffic, when necessary, at the Corps and/or Area Command warehouse locations during Christmas Angel Tree distribution as requested. Assists with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season. Performs other related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure. Knowledge of the assigned geographic area. Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption.
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.
