Position Description

Cascade High School is seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic, and student-centered Science Teacher to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed and qualified to teach:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• AP Environmental Science

The successful candidate will create engaging, standards-based learning experiences that encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. The teacher will work closely with colleagues to support student achievement and contribute positively to the culture of Cascade High School.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

• Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Indiana teaching license in the appropriate science content area.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of science curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
• Incorporate laboratory experiences, technology, and hands-on learning into instruction.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community.
• Build positive relationships and maintain high expectations for all students.

Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science is preferred.
