PGS Worldwide is seeking a Circuit Card Inspector in Oldsmar, FL for a contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Circuit Card Inspector will visually inspect solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 requirements. This 2nd shift role requires prior solder and coating inspection experience, the ability to read engineering drawings and inspection documentation, strong PC skills, and the ability to pass a required medical exam.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of solder and conformal coating inspection experience.
  • Prior experience visually inspecting solder connections on surface mount and plated through-hole components.
  • IPC-A-610 experience required.
  • J-STD-001 experience required.
  • Ability to navigate IPC standards and determine accept/reject criteria.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, process instructions, inspection instructions, checklists, IPC manuals, revision control documents, and work instructions.
  • Visual inspection experience.
  • Measuring experience using tools such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, or similar measuring devices.
  • Documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to take and pass a required medical exam.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented work style.
  • Ability to communicate quality defects effectively and professionally with operations personnel.

Preferred Skills

  • Circuit card assembly inspection experience.
  • Conformal coating inspection experience.
  • Electronics manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Experience inspecting to manufacturing and industry specifications.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-reliability production environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Visually inspect solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies.
  • Inspect work in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 requirements.
  • Review circuit card assemblies against manufacturing and industry specifications.
  • Use inspection methods, operations, and prescribed specifications to determine product acceptability.
  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, inspection instructions, checklists, and related reference documents.
  • Use measuring devices such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, and related tools.
  • Identify and communicate solder, coating, documentation, or quality defects.
  • Interface with operations teams professionally when communicating quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate inspection documentation.
  • Complete required prescreening and onboarding requirements.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 2nd shift.
  • Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM.
  • Weekend overtime may be required.

Pay

  • $19.00–$28.00/hour
