Circulation Specialists (Morning & Midday) - (Part-Time)

Neumann University is currently seeking qualified applicants for two (2) part-time positions of Circulation Specialist. The first position will cover the mornings from 7:00am - 11:00am, and the second will be middays from 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday through Fridays.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists library users with the general use of physical and digital library resources.
• Assists patrons with computers; logging on guests, troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Office Suite and Canvas, assisting with printing issues and printer jams.
• Checks circulating and reserve materials in and out of the library using the Integrated Library System and records user statistics using online tracking tool.
• Provides general information about the library to patrons, both in person and on the phone.
• Monitors general reading and computing areas as required for noise level and neatness; monitors paper trays for printers and photocopiers; respectfully enforces library and university policies, coordinates nighttime closing.
• Supervises student staff in accordance with Library best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• A. or B.S. preferred; library experience helpful.
• Keen independent troubleshooting skills, especially with printers.
• Strong technical skills related to Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas), Google Workspace products, and other emerging technologies.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High level customer service experience and skills.
• Punctuality
• Ability to handle multiple tasks as necessary.
• Candidates must possess an appreciation for and congruence with the Franciscan mission of the University.
