    • Support communications engineering activities involving radio frequency systems, fiber optics, digital communications, servers, applications, hardware, and software
    • Document configurations, test results, technical issues, and commissioning progress

    Qualifications

    • 5 to 7 years of network engineering experience, with strong Cisco networking experience
    • Extensive working knowledge of network design, including wired and wireless networks
    • Experience with network architectures, topologies, design patterns, constraints, and protocols
    • Strong working knowledge of switching and routing protocols
    • Experience supporting wireless communications in demanding or complex environments
    • Knowledge of fiber optics, digital communications processors, servers, network hardware, software, and related communications technology
    • Understanding of communications engineering principles, including radio frequency allocations, electromagnetic wave propagation, RF field strength measurements, and tolerances
    • Ability to support network testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and field implementation
    • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, industrial, or mission-critical systems is a plus
    • CCNP or equivalent certification preferred
    • Ability to travel approximately 25% to 50%, primarily along the East Coast
    • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
