Job Summary
Our client in Milpitas is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide onsite support for Cisco Switch configuration and network infrastructure activities. The ideal candidate will have strong Layer 2 networking knowledge and hands-on experience working with Cisco switching technologies.
Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco switches in an enterprise environment
Perform Layer 2 network configuration, including VLANs, trunking, STP, and port configurations
Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting and issue resolution
Support onsite network implementation and maintenance activities
Collaborate with network teams to ensure successful deployments and configurations
Document network changes and configurations
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 networking concepts
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches
Experience with VLANs, trunking, STP, and basic network troubleshooting
Ability to work onsite in Milpitas, CA
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client) is a plus
Enterprise networking experience is preferred
Engagement Details
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Schedule: 30 40 hours/week
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
