Citizen House - Line Cook

Job Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment. This role ensures food is cooked to recipe specifications, presented consistently, and prepared safely while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, plating standards, and ticket times

·      Set up and stock assigned stations with necessary supplies and ingredients

·      Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards

·      Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines

·      Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

·      Communicate clearly with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff

·      Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and labeling

·      Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

·      Support team during peak service periods and maintain a positive attitude

Qualifications & Skills:

·      Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (full-service restaurant experience a plus)

·      Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

·      Strong attention to detail and time management

·      Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

·      Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic

Schedule & Availability:

Afternoon/evening availability needed.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced full-service restaurant kitchen. Exposure to heat, sharp objects, and kitchen equipment.
