City Patrol | Armed Patrol Officer

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Clarion Security is seeking a dependable and professional City Patrol Officer to provide mobile security services throughout Memphis. This position is responsible for patrolling multiple locations, conducting site checks, responding to alarms and emergency situations, and maintaining a visible security presence.

IMPORTANT: This is an armed position. Candidates must meet all requirements to work as an armed security officer and must have a clean driving history.

Schedule:

• Sunday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM CST
• Monday: OFF
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM CST & 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM CST (Split Shift)
• Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM CST
• Friday: OFF
• Saturday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM CST

Job Responsibilities:

• Patrol multiple assigned locations throughout Memphis.
• Conduct scheduled site checks and inspections.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and other security-related incidents.
• Monitor properties for suspicious activity, safety concerns, damage, or other security issues.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
• Communicate with, supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation.
• Safely operate a company patrol vehicle while following all traffic laws and company policies.
• Follow post orders, security procedures, and company safety guidelines.
• Provide professional customer service to clients and the public.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct while representing Clarion Security.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid armed license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete written reports accurately and clearly.
• Must be willing to work the assigned schedule, including split shifts.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks, drug screening, and other pre-employment requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently enter and exit a patrol vehicle.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during site checks.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and move around various properties as needed.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations when necessary.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
