PAY: $100,000 - $130,000 annually (DOQ)
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall use and direction of the Civic Center Complex including staffing, finance, administration, operations, ticketing, marketing and capital projects. Duties include building and maintaining cooperative professional relationships with City staff, elected officials and the Convention and Visitors Council; building and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders; negotiating rental agreements and long term contracts with lessees and primary use tenants; marketing the complex locally, regionally and nationally; representing the complex through membership and participation in professional associations; and soliciting events for the complex through negotiated rental deals, promotional efforts and building/sustaining relationships with agents and promoters.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of seven to ten years of venue management experience. International Association of Venue Managers Certified Facility Executive (CFE) preferred. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
