Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Civil Associate Engineering Technician – Solar to support engineering teams under general supervision. The role requires intermediate knowledge of engineering principles, experience with CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools, and the ability to create and maintain technical drawings and project deliverables. The position also provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians.
Job Description
Stay current on applicable standards, systems, document control practices, departmental guides, and policies and procedures
Apply knowledge of the Quality Program to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables
Demonstrate strong attention to detail while supporting continuous improvement and change management initiatives
Use and expand applications and tools to evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures
Create and develop project deliverables based on a variety of design inputs
Perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences
Support internal client needs while developing an understanding of external client priorities and drivers
Proactively seek out, share, and apply knowledge of new technologies and evolving processes
Skills Required
Typically a minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Education/Training/Certifications
Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
