Core Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and related heavy equipment safely and productively.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift equipment checks to ensure safe, reliable operation.
- Execute tasks according to project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Coordinate with supervisors and crew to align activities and meet deadlines.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs to maintain equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies and safety regulations at all times.
- Record daily work activities and promptly report issues to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications a plus.
- Proven heavy equipment operating experience in construction or industrial settings.
- Thorough knowledge of safe operating procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor when required.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
