Prior experience with estimating software and MS Excel or similar tools.
Knowledge of FDOT standards, local codes, and civil construction methods is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description

The Civil Construction Estimator – Roadway/Utility is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Myers, FL. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for roadway, utility, and related civil infrastructure projects, including reviewing plans, specifications, and addenda. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing accurate quantity take-offs, analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes, and developing comprehensive bid proposals and budgets. The estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement team members to evaluate scope, assess risks, and support value engineering efforts. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date cost data, participating in bid reviews, communicating with stakeholders, and supporting handoff to project teams after award.
