Property Industry RoleMichael Page is hiring for a role in the property industry, located in Hackensack, NJ.JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY Directs, coordinates, and functionally plans, organizes, controls, integration, and completion of engineering projects within areas of assigned responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values, and goalsPromotes and participates in the Company safety program and proceduresAssist both the Project Manager & Superintendent as required to efficiently complete assigned projectsTraining/Mentoring of junior staffMaintain overall good relationships with clients and/or public officialsDaily operation of field officeMaintain project documentationAssists in procurement of material and subcontractors; includes performing take-offs, completion of in-house requisition forms, preparation of bid packages and defining scopes of workGenerates and updates purchase order and subcontractor logsReview and prepare submittals, maintain a submittal log and monitors to ensure each submittal receives timely reviewAttends project meetings as directed by the Project Manager. Prepares and distributes associated meeting minutesEnsures all completed work complies with acceptable codes, drawings, and specificationsConducts constructability reviews and value engineering functionsPrepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, purchasing, etc.Interprets designs and drawings, research and recommends solutions to drawing interpretation, problems, conflicts, and errorsIssue Requests for Information (RFI's) to appropriate parties; maintains the RFI log and monitors it for timely responsesAssembles cost estimates to be reviewed with Project Manager for any client requested damagesTracks and summarizes force account work for Project Manager reviewLog and maintain as-built pay quantities for invoicing; verifies accurate payment of subcontractors and material suppliersGenerates and maintains production analysis for jobsMonitors receivables and prepares invoice documents for approval by the Project ManagerUtilizes in-house software to continually monitor project cost variancesCompletes appropriate paperwork for new field hiresUtilizes the applicable state utility locate system to call in mark out requestsAssists Superintendents with daily job reports and schedule monitoringPrepares red-line or as-built drawingsAssists in project close out activitiesSOFT SKILLSExcellent Organizational skillsExcellent analytical skillsProblem solving skillsCommunication skillsTeam playerMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaBachelor's degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management)Knowledge of operation of standard office equipmentOverall knowledge of MS OfficeMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
