    Description

    Position Overview:We are seeking a qualified Civil Coordinator to support the construction and execution of power plant projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience coordinating civil work, a deep understanding of quality and safety compliance, and the ability to interface effectively with contractors and project stakeholders. This role requires both field oversight and administrative coordination to ensure successful execution of scope, schedule, and budget objectives. Key Responsibilities:

    Promote and uphold a safe, inclusive, and quality-focused work environment. Conduct and document a minimum of 8 STEP safety observations and 2 CRM observations monthly, providing immediate feedback to field teams. Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and reinforce a proactive safety culture on site. Support and enforce T&PS procedures across the project lifecycle. Inspect civil installations to ensure compliance with construction drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are established and implemented by contractors. Perform a minimum of 4 monthly Construction Quality Surveillances (CQS) on in-progress work. Assist with construction planning and sequencing to meet schedule and cost targets. Monitor installed quantities and track progress against project milestones. Identify civil installation issues, propose and support resolution efforts, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Stay informed of equipment and material delivery schedules to ensure timely support of field work. Provide support to Site Management in the oversight and administration of construction contracts. Lead or participate in key project meetings including pre-bid, pre-mobilization, contractor orientations, JSA reviews, and status updates. Contribute to Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and Risk Management efforts. Support the project's Change Management process by identifying, tracking, and validating changes.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Proven civil coordination experience on large-scale power plant or energy infrastructure projects. Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations. Familiarity with construction practices, quality control standards, and applicable codes related to civil and structural work. Experience managing or supporting contractors, vendors, and subcontractors in a construction environment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy. Self-motivated and proactive, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Experience supporting electrical scope coordination is a plus, including conduit, cable tray, and support system installation best practices.

    Preferred Experience:

    Experience in medium voltage electrical installation is a plus. Prior oversight of electrical coordinators or other field staff. Working knowledge of cable-pulling techniques and electrical installation sequencing in a civil context.
