Civil Design Engineer
Now hiring Civil Design Engineer Location Broussard, LA Salary: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year 1st Shift
These are the qualifications that matter:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited U.S. or international university
- 1–5 years of structural steel design experience
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design standards
- Experience with drilling operations or drilling support structures
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following software programs: Bentley SACS Bentley STAAD SAFI GSE or PSE SAP2000 ANSYS
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural steel systems in compliance with industry codes including AISC, API 4F, API RP 2A, DNV, and ABS
- Create and update 3D structural engineering models
- Design bolted and welded steel connections per AISC standards
- Support new product development and structural upgrades for light and heavy steel structures
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project quality, accuracy, and deadlines are met
