The RIC team is comprised of 26 licensed professionals with over 300 years combined experience, who are supported by a committed and talented group of over 45 technical and administrative staff.About the role RIC is currently seeking Civil Design Engineers who share in our passion for high-quality work and enjoy a fun yet fast-paced work environment! This position will be mentored by our team of Professional Engineers and company leadership in the engineering design and analysis of diverse types of projects throughout the Midwest. As an RIC Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain diverse design knowledge which will help you grow in your career and prepare for your PE exam. We are looking to add multiple talented individuals to support our below teams:Land/Site Development: Site design, roadway design, utility design, grading and erosion control plans, storm sewer design, and water quality BMP.Water Resources: Stormwater management and sanitary sewer system design, utilities, and other site infrastructure design.Transportation: Roadway design, culvert design, drainage studies, utility coordination, traffic impact studies, and more.Primary Responsibilities Work effectively and professionally with internal team members and external client personnelAttend client meetings, planning commission meetings, city council meetingsAbility to take a project from start to finish, acting as project engineerUse Civil 3D Pipe Networks to design horizontal and vertical alignments for storm, sanitary, and water mains on site development projectsPerform field assessment of existing infrastructure and construction observationPerform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling, including stormwater detention and water quality BMP designAssist with site grading and designAssist with shop drawing reviewPrepare technical reports such as storm reports and SWPPPsAssist with permit applicationsTechnical Requirements 1 year of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred0-5 years of related experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite softwareAbility to develop GIS, CAD, and data management skillsBasic knowledge of civil engineering conceptsBasic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems, spreadsheets, and databasesStrong problem-solving and math skillsAbility to perform under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentEffective oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsEducation Requirements Bachelor of Science in Civil engineering from an ABET accredited universityEI certification preferredMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings AccountPaid Time-Off (14 days to start, increase to 16 days after year 1)Paid Holidays (8)401(k) with annual company contributions regardless of employee participationEmployee Stock Ownership ProgramProfessional Development AssistanceTuition ReimbursementCell Phone ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramOther Items RIC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
