We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to apply their expertise in the engineering industry, specifically in stormwater management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing various construction projects, including stormwater infrastructure and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work closely with multiple teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, and oversee construction projects, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and regulations.
  • Develop detailed designs for civil engineering projects, including stormwater management systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, architects, and construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Apply principles of civil engineering to solve environmental and public health issues related to stormwater.
  • Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed projects.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed design plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to address concerns and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring that the design specifications and safety standards are met.
  • Provide technical advice to project stakeholders, including troubleshooting and problem-solving when issues arise.
  • Continually update knowledge and skills in line with the latest industry trends and advancements in civil engineering and stormwater management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on stormwater management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for designing and planning.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in relation to stormwater management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering and stormwater management.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
