What To ExpectTesla is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join the Texas team and contribute to a variety of Land Development, Site Design, Roadway/Transportation, and many more projects on our 2,500+ acre site.What You'll DoPromote and protect Tesla's reputation as a cutting‑edge company producing the world's most exciting cars and shifting the paradigm of personal transportation worldwideManage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phasesDefine and plan project work scope, schedules, budget, and resource requirementsIndependently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculationsEffectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team membersReview drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi‑disciplinary coordinationWhat You'll BringDegree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience3-5 years of hands on experience building high‑tech/industrial infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)Experience in civil engineering design, stormwater management plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and manufacturingOperational construction site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavement, sewer, storm drainage, water, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plansProficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil designAbility to multi‑task and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelinesAbility to communicate clearly and interface at an executive level within a diverse team. Ability to uphold the use of standards and elevate issues in a timely fashionDesire to do the impossible with a positive and professional attitude.
