The Civil Engineer - Aviation supports the planning, design, and delivery of airport infrastructure projects. This position will work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions that enhance airport operations, safety, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all the following:
Prepare engineering designs, calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports for aviation infrastructure projects. Assist in the design of airport facilities, including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking areas, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure. Develop construction documents and coordinate project deliverables in accordance with company and client standards. Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support project planning and design decisions. Utilize engineering software and design tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and related applications. Support project managers in the planning, scheduling, and execution of aviation projects. Assist with project budgeting, cost estimating, and preparation of engineering reports. Ensure designs comply with FAA Advisory Circulars, airport design standards, applicable codes, and client requirements. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 7 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale aviation programs. 3+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in aviation, transportation, municipal, or infrastructure projects Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and design standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
