Job Description Job Description Confidential Opportunity – Civil Engineering / Utility Locating & Survey Support RolesA well-established engineering and land development firm is seeking multiple Civil Division professionals at varying experience levels, from entry-level graduates to senior-level project management professionals. This is a confidential hiring initiative supporting continued growth within the firm's civil and infrastructure practice.The team supports a broad range of land development and infrastructure projects, including site development, roadway design, utilities, stormwater systems, and construction support services. The ideal candidates will contribute to the planning, design, and field coordination efforts required to deliver accurate, efficient, and constructible civil engineering solutions.Experience ranges are being considered for multiple openings, with opportunities for both technical field-focused roles and design/project management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:• Support the development of land development construction drawings including site planning, grading and drainage, erosion control, roadway design (plans, profiles, and cross-sections), and utility layouts (water and sewer)• Perform or support stormwater, erosion control, earthwork balancing, bond estimate, and hydraulic modeling calculations as applicable• Conduct field surveys and locate underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and related tools• Interpret utility records, as-built drawings, and maps to identify potential conflicts and discrepancies• Accurately mark and document utility locations in accordance with project requirements and industry standards• Assist survey crews with setup and operation of equipment including GPS and total stations• Establish and verify survey control points and benchmarks• Clear and prepare job sites for surveying and field operations• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure safe and efficient project executionQualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in surveying, civil engineering, or related field preferred• Experience in underground utility locating, surveying, or construction field support preferred• Familiarity with electromagnetic locating tools and GPR equipment strongly preferred• Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or stormwater modeling software (HydroCAD, Hydroflow, or similar) is a plus• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures and field protocols• Ability to work outdoors and handle physically demanding field conditions when required• Strong communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Technical Skills (Design Roles):• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency• Experience with stormwater modeling and civil design calculations• Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteBenefits:• Competitive compensation based on experience and role level• Comprehensive benefits package• Company-provided life insurance and AD&D coverage• Optional supplemental insurance coverage (life, accident, etc.)• 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions• Paid time off and company holidays• Company vehicle provided for qualifying field roles (e.g., survey crew chiefs)This is a confidential search for multiple Civil Engineering and field support professionals who are looking to grow within a stable, technically strong, and project-driven environment.
