Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This is an extraordinary opportunity to do challenging and meaningful work for California's water infrastructure while building knowledge, skills, and relationships with water industry professionals. ProjectLine offers a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment, and opportunities to work on many critical potable water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects. The right candidate will be a CA registered PE or have the capability to become registered within 6 months.
As a Civil Engineer you will work with project managers and other team members across multiple disciplines to design infrastructure for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities. The right engineer will be able to apply knowledge of Civil engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to the Civil engineering design practice. You'll be expected to learn ProjectLine's QA/QC procedures and assist with other key aspects of design and construction (e.g., technical writing, specifications, review construction submittals and RFIs). You must have experience in one or more of the following areas water pumping and treatment design, Civil site design (grading and paving plans, buried utility plans, etc.), pipeline design, hydraulics, pump stations, or water/wastewater treatment plant planning. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines to manage design projects, so your role will include developing an understanding other engineering disciplines (e.g. electrical power and lighting design, industrial instrumentation design, and/or system integration). You will also from time to time make field visits to observe and report on construction activities.
