The role involves engineering support on residential and site development projects, with knowledge of regulatory design criteria and infrastructure planning.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in feasibility investigations for new project acquisitions, including identifying constraints, preparing cost estimates, and developing project schedules.Facilitate comprehensive design plan production for regulatory agency and client submittals and approvals.Assist the Project Manager with engineering design tasks, technical reports, and construction administration including site visits, bid documents, submittal reviews, and pay applications.Coordinate engineering services for assigned projects, including reports, design calculations for infrastructure and drainage systems, grading, and pavement design.Attend and contribute to project progress meetings and agency review meetings.Analyze, interpret, and stay abreast of regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal agencies.Implement innovative design concepts for efficiency and cost saving.Conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit.Maintain understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve results and deadlines.Work overtime as needed.Travel overnight as required.QualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor of Science in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution; must be a registered and active E.I.T. in the required state with the ability to obtain a P.E. license.Minimum 1+ years of engineering experience related to land development projects (residential experience preferred).Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office; ArcGIS experience preferred.Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities.Excellent interpersonal skills.Effective time management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Analytical thinking.Proficiency with MS Office and email.Preferred QualificationsHighly organized.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision401(k)Employee Stock Purchase PlanFlex Spending AccountsLife & Disability InsuranceVacation, Sick, Personal Time and Company HolidaysMultiple voluntary and company-provided benefits.Build your future with D.R.
