Working here, you would play an important role on our team, providing high level services and support to construction projects across the United States.New engineers work closely with all levels of engineers in the company and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.Day to Day:Preparing PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projectsDesign using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materialsWritten and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project teamSome travel to project sites around the U.S.Requirements:Experience: Preferably – 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company or 12 months of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or 18 months of experience working part-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or (1) 8-week minimum internships with an engineering firm or construction companyDegree: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering (structural focus), or Architectural EngineeringCoursework: Structural analysis, geotechnical engineeringEIT licensure by hire datePreferred Skills:Beneficial Coursework (but not mandatory): Timber Design, Foundation Design, Temporary Structures DesignBeneficial Code Knowledge: AASHTO, IBC, ASCE7, NDSBeneficial Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Risa, TeddsCompensation:$80,000 to $120,000 per year annual salary.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject ManagementIndustries: Civil EngineeringReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at D.H.
