Description

RETTEW is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our Land Development team. In this role, you'll lead technical design efforts and support project delivery across diverse and complex land development projects. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on client success while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineer III in Land Development, you will manage and execute engineering tasks on projects of varying scale, ensuring high-quality deliverables and technical excellence. You'll provide design oversight, mentor team members, and serve as a trusted technical resource for clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

- Lead design and analysis for site development, stormwater, grading, utilities, and erosion/sedimentation control.

- Oversee preparation of engineering reports, construction documents, and permit applications.

- Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

- Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and environmental staff to deliver integrated solutions.

- Participate in client meetings and presentations, representing RETTEW's capabilities and expertise.

- Support quality assurance/quality control for deliverables.

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license.

- 8+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.

- Proficiency with Civil 3D and related design software.

- Strong knowledge of local and state land development regulations.

Preferred:

- Project management experience and ability to oversee budgets/schedules.

- Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.

- Client-facing experience in proposal development and presentations.
