Our Albuquerque office is seeking a full-time Engineer in Training to support our Land Development group. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who enjoys being part of a team environment. We are seeking a self‑starter with a high attention to detail that wants to work in a professional setting advancing their career in civil design. Additionally, you will collaborate with other disciplines, project managers and support staff, as well as our clients, to ensure the successful completion of tasks.ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparation of site civil engineering plans and construction documents for land development projectsSupport engineering design efforts involving:Site layout and geometryGrading and earthwork designStorm drainage systemsStormwater management facilitiesWater and sanitary sewer utilitiesRoadway and parking lot designErosion and sediment control plansPerform engineering calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, utilities, and gradingUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software for drafting and design developmentAssist with hydrology and storm drainage modeling programsSupport permitting efforts for land disturbance, utility coordination, and municipal approvalsResearch zoning requirements, development ordinances, and jurisdictional standardsCoordinate with surveyors, architects, planners, geotechnical engineers, utility providers, contractors, and public agenciesParticipate in field visits, construction observations, and site investigationsAssist with preparation of technical specifications, bid packages, reports, and project exhibitsSupport project managers with scheduling, budgeting, task tracking, and project coordinationRevise engineering plans based on internal quality reviews and agency commentsAssist with maintaining project documentation and quality control standardsParticipate in client meetings and interdisciplinary coordination effortsRequired SkillsExperience in CADD utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation.Proven teamwork and problem‑solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word and Excel.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related curriculum from an ABET‑accredited school.Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain.0–4 years of relevant site civil or land development engineering experience.Basic understanding of site grading, drainage design, utility infrastructure, stormwater management, and land development permitting processes.Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation software is highly preferred.Hourly Earnings$36.00 – $50.00 (Depending on Experience)Please note that Wilson & Company is not currently sponsoring applicants for work visas.BenefitsHealth insuranceLife insuranceDisability coveragePaid time offRetirement savings plansWe are a proud EEO employer and maintain a drug‑free workplace with pre‑employment background checks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
