The Land Development Business Unit is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training in one of our Washington offices in Bellevue, Everett, Woodinville or Tacoma, WA.

Under supervision of assigned Project Engineer(s), this individual will perform work in support of a variety of residential and commercial land development projects. As part of a design team, a successful candidate will contribute to the development of stormwater management, utility and roadway designs, including construction documents and all supporting documentation.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities: Apply civil engineering principles to assigned projects while working under close and immediate supervision

Support the preparation of design plans and construction documents for a variety of projects, including site layout, grading and drainage, paving, and utilities

Contribute to the development of water quality reports and drainage studies, including performing basic hydraulic and hydrologic calculations

Perform calculations and assist with specifications, cost estimates, and permitting applications

Help identify and resolve design issues with guidance from project team members

Coordinate with internal team members and support communication with clients and public agencies as needed

Build and expand technical skills and industry knowledge through hands‑on project experience and mentorship

What You Bring

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

One (1) or more years of relevant design experience in land development projects, including commercial, residential, public works, institutional, or industrial developments

Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills
