Our engineers develop their skills through working on diverse projects our knowledge-sharing culture career mentoring program and collaborating with top professionals in the industry.What Youll GainReal-world engineering experience supporting mining and infrastructure projects.Mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers and technical specialists.Experience using industry-standard engineering software and practices.Opportunities to support projects across North America and internationally.DisciplinesWhat Youll DoUnder the guidance of experienced engineers you may support a variety of mining industry projects includingDesign major earthwork projects such as tailings dams heap leach facilities and ancillary works.Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.Produce design reports and assist with proposals.Participate in field investigations and construction Quality AssuranceQuality Control QAQC activities.Contribute to geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.Support permitting reclamation and closure activities.Heres what we are looking for...Currently pursuing a Bachelors Masters or PhD in Civil Engineering Mining Engineering or a related discipline. Students entering their junior year senior year or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.QualificationsAbility to pay close attention to detail and deliver quality work.Ability to use sound judgment and solve problems effectively.Ability to manage time and workload effectively including planning organizing and prioritizing tasks.Ability to travel to project and field locations as needed.Interest in learning civil engineering fundamentals surveying drafting and construction practices.Interest in learning to read and understand construction engineering plans and drawings including sheet references and layering.Computer Skills Proficiency in MS Office experience with Civil 3D preferred.Compensation In accordance with Colorado state law the hourly pay range for this position is 25.00 - 30.00 an hour. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on experience education and skill level.
