Qualifications/Knowledge: Must have 1 to 3 years experience in related field; must have current valid driver's license Must have certification as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices; knowledge of computer aided drafting (CAD) principles Knowledge of transportation design principles Knowledge of relevant state and local regulations; knowledge of Georgia landfill regulations Knowledge of research, data analysis and report preparation methods Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs Skill in problem solving, prioritizing and planning Skill in interpersonal relations Skill in directing the work of personnel Skill in oral and written communication
Requirements Directs, manages and assists with projects performed by external contractors and by department construction crews Coordinates projects with other offices, private businesses and with federal, state and local agencies Reviews construction plans for land disturbance permit approval; reviews erosion control plans Participates in Development Review Committee Meetings; provides staff support for meetings of the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission Develops and designs construction project plans and site layouts Assists with tasks associated with landfill operation Performs all other related duties as assigned
