This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer ready to step into greater ownership, independence and professional growth, working on real projects from design through to delivery.

At Align Property Services, we don't just design buildings, we create spaces that matter. We have recently been recognised for our partnership with North Yorkshire Council for the major reconstruction of Fore Gill Bridge in the Yorkshire Dales. The project was named the Best Civil Engineering Project in the region delivered for under £5 million, receiving a Smeaton Award at the 2026 ICE Yorkshire & Humber Civil Engineering Awards.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of North Yorkshire Council, we're one of the largest and most respected building design consultancies in the North of England. Our collaborative, forward thinking team delivers a wide range of services, including:

  •  Building Surveying & Project Management
  • Architecture & Sustainability
  • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • Quantity Surveying & CDM
  • Transport Planning, Bridges & Estate Management

From small scale surveys to multi-million-pound developments, including schools, fire stations, care homes, and heritage buildings, our projects are as varied as our clients. With a strong and growing pipeline across both public and private sectors, there's never been a better time to join us.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering civil engineering designs across highways, drainage and external works
  • Producing 2D and 3D models using Civil 3D, including alignments, surfaces and earthworks

In Hambleton, the team is undertaking full estate road and drainage design for a 100+ unit residential development, including SuDS strategy and Section 38/104 processes with close liaison with the Local Authority and statutory undertakers. We're also supporting a fast-paced commercial scheme in Easingwold, providing comprehensive civil engineering design for a new supermarket and petrol filling station covering levels, drainage, highways interfaces, earthworks and multi-disciplinary coordination.
