Our staffing agency is partnering with a growing land development company to identify a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial development projects. This individual will assist with the planning, design, permitting, and execution of land development projects, working closely with project managers, surveyors, architects, municipal officials, and other engineering professionals.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in civil engineering design, site development, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to manage multiple project tasks while meeting deadlines and client expectations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, from the initial concept and design stage through to the completion and handover of the project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, designing, managing, and supervising construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
2. Using AutoCAD and other engineering design software to create detailed designs and plans.
3. Managing all phases of the project, from initial planning and feasibility studies through to design, construction, and handover.
4. Conducting site surveys and geotechnical investigations to gather data for the design and planning of projects.
5. Working closely with project managers, architects, and other professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Preparing and presenting reports, proposals, technical drawings, and designs.
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with local and national regulations and codes of practice.
8. Supervising and directing construction teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed according to plans.
9. Identifying and resolving any potential issues or problems that could impact the successful completion of the project.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on project management, AutoCAD, structural engineering, construction management, engineering design, surveying, and geotechnical engineering.
3. Proven experience in managing and supervising construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in using engineering software, including AutoCAD and other design software.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
