Civil Engineer - P.E. - Relocation Provided
Location: St. Louis, MO ( 1 day work from home a week)
Salary: $105,000 - $155,000K base (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team to design, plan, and deliver land development and site development civil projects. The Civil Engineer will be under general direction, lead and manage civil/site planning, design coordination, consultant oversight, permitting support, and construction documentation for the design, development, and construction of new and existing hotels and commercial real estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and engineering teams on conceptual site plans for hotel and commercial projects.
- Prepare complete civil construction documents and coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure permit-ready, constructible designs.
- Manage external civil consultants, including scope, schedule, technical reviews, and quality control.
- Oversee civil project schedules and resolve design, permitting, utility, and constructability challenges.
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate design intent into construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
- Lead construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, quality control, and site visits.
- Provide technical expertise in grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, ADA compliance, and site development.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
- Evaluate new products, systems, energy-efficiency opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 5+ Years of experience as a Civil Engineer working on land development, sitework, commercial projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil 3D for plan production and 3D modeling
- Strong CAD/Drafting skills
- Solid knowledge of grading, drainage design, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility planning
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, calculations and presentations.
