Civil Project Manager | Site Development

A growing engineering team is seeking a Civil Project Manager specializing in Site Development to oversee projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site development projects from initial planning and design through permitting, construction documentation, and project completion.

• Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams to maintain project alignment and resolve challenges.

• Lead project meetings, communicate progress updates, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee the development of site layouts, grading and drainage plans, paving, utilities, and other civil engineering design components.

• Monitor project costs, prepare and review proposals and cost estimates, and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability.

• Ensure project deliverables comply with applicable codes, regulations, design standards, and client requirements.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to engineers, design professionals, and technicians.

• Identify potential project risks, proactively resolve issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development and the continued growth of the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional civil engineering experience, preferably in site development and land development projects.

• Previous project management or project leadership experience, including coordinating project teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license. 

• Experience with civil engineering design software, including Civil 3D, InRoads, and Microsoft Office.

• Strong understanding of site development principles, including grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and permitting processes.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain high-quality deliverables.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering successful projects and exceptional client service.
