Our client is currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager.

Summary:
  • This position will assist in the project management of Engineers and Designers to ensure quality designs are produced and delivered on schedule, within budget and scope.
  • This position will support Lead Project Managers and Director of Civil Engineering and requires proficiency with an effective knowledge and understanding of all job responsibilities.
  •  Position holder must effectively interact, build rapport and communicate clearly with clients, municipalities and fellow employees.
Job Duties:
  • Effective understanding of the principal duties and responsibilities of all levels of the Designer and Engineer positions.
  • Thorough understanding of the team and the personalities within the group.
  • Effectively oversee all aspects of projects; set deadlines, delegate tasks, effectively manage resources, monitor and summarize progress of project, prepare progress status reports or support PM 2 & 3 to do this.
  • Develop project objectives with Project Manager 2 or 3.
  • Assign project responsibilities on specific tasks.
  • Support Project Manager 2 or 3 with formulating realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures.
  • Review engineering plans to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Support project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinate activities, resolve problems.
  • Support in managing project labor resources within a context of fairness and respect.
  • Exercise good judgement in all interactions with employees, clients, suppliers and in delegation of authority.
  • Foster and maintain an effective customer service attitude in all client interaction.
  • Monitor compliance with QA/QC policies, performance standard, and specifications.
  • Maintain effective relationship with appropriate county and municipal contacts.
  • Maintain professionalism that encourages and enhances the company vision.
  • Maintain strong relationship with appropriate county and municipal contacts.
  • Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures.
  • Knowledge of how to create the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data.
  • Ability to prepare and manage project budgets and maintain operations within budget.
  • Ability to handle customer and employee requests and complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure staff compliance with safety procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Preferred:
  • Seeking PE or EIT/FE Certification is a plus
  • Effective project management and supervision skills
Pay Range:
  • $70 - 120K, depending on experience
