Civil Engineer

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in private land development and be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with experience designing site development projects, including grading, stormwater management, storm drain systems, erosion and sediment control, utilities, and other site infrastructure. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Raleigh (Knightdale), North Carolina office. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. Hybrid or remote work arrangements and visa sponsorship are not available for this position.

Civil Engineer - Responsibilities

• Design and manage private land development projects from concept through construction.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop design concepts and construction documents.
• Prepare plans and designs for:
• Site layout and grading
• Stormwater management and storm drainage systems
• Water and sewer utilities
• Roadway design
• Erosion and sediment control
• Floodplain studies
• Coordinate with other project team members and disciplines to successfully meet project goals, schedules, and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other staff as needed to accomplish department objectives.
